I could go into extensive details and back-up what I am stating with legal proof but in a nut shell (yes, this is the short version but still factual): I am currently living in Hernando County, FL. (which corruption rules). A few women in this county are sued every 2-3 months for frivolous cases by the same 'doctor' (Karl and Natalie Leibensperger - Karl does not work (former DO) he only sues women, and Natalie is the unlicensed 'OB/GYN', she does have a DO) (both put up a front of being Christians and HIDE behind their Christian fish symbols) and overseen by the same 'county judge' (Kurt Hitzemann). This doctor (who is no longer licensed to practice medicine) is married to another so-called doctor who does practice OB/GYN without a license to do so. These two are very good friends with one of the 'good old boys' club' judges here. These women set up appointments to be seen by this 'doctor', they are made to wait until they leave or have to reschedule and then are billed for this (not being seen and made to wait). When you contact the 'doctor' in regards to the bill, he is vile, abusive and crude, refuses to listen, and then he sues you (it is very apparent that his only intentions are to sue you). My original bill was for $70.00, I am being sued for $400.00. When these women are sued (the info is public records), they are all labeled/ruled guilty by the same judge, and end up owing/paying TEN TIMES the amount of the amount of the law suit (TEN TIMES, never fails). ALL of these women are self-employed (have their own businesses), over a certain child-bearing age (therefore, they will not be making 'big bucks' on them anymore), AND own property. According to the Tampa Tribune and other media, these judges where selected to expedite foreclosures in Hernando County a few years ago. This 'doctor' purchases three to four homes/properties with a value ranging from $175K to 900K EVERY WEEK and then is able to pay off each mortgage in full and receives the deed/title to these properties and this all occurs THE FOLLOWING WEEK of purchase! (Again, this is all public info). Now like the rest of these women, as a small (actually tiny) business owner, I do not have the funds to pay a lawyer to fight these maggots (that is why they do it). I own two properties, have two mortgages (one large and one that is approximately 1/4th the value of the property), owe HUGE taxes on both properties and home owner's insurance and they know that since this too is public information. I had a 'pretrial mediation' hearing and asked for this judge to be recuse from this case, he denied it. My 'mediation' consisted of the 'judge', myself and the 'doctor', there were no witnesses allowed and no mediator! The 'judge' wanted to force me to say I owe this money; I explained that I had been a patient for over 3.5 years and never had billing/$ issues and always paid what I owed (which was over 21K for prenatal care, delivering my youngest child, postpartum, regular check-ups throughout the years etc.) but that I was never seen, made to wait a couple of HOURS, being promised I was next to be seen, then was told I had to leave because the office was closed and handed a bill for $70.00. When the judge realized I would not be intimidated or tricked into saying that in his own words, 'So you refuse to pay the money you owe My Gynecologist (Leibensperger ) for services rendered?!', I corrected him by stating there were no services rendered therefore there is not bill to pay and if there were services rendered, where are the results of my labs form the lab, not Leibensperger (although Leibensperger told me he could make up any record he wished). Judge Hitzemann ignored my statement along with my TWENTY-ONE pages of documentations backing up what I was stating and continued to try to intimidate and trick me, but it did not work. I mentioned the media to him (the 'judge') and handed him his history with this 'doctor' and their frivolous, illegal law suits and he then claimed, 'We are going to trial and I AM THE JUDGE. I will then determine the outcome of this law suit.' This was a threat, not a legal statement. I have tried contacting the other women involved but have had no success. They are all 'gone', moved from this county with unlisted phone numbers and most I can not find, they disappeared. I have a family of five. I work hard for every cent and then give every cent back to the county to pay my every-growing bills. I need a lawyer but can not afford one and even if I could, not one will go up against these 'gold old boys'...these words have been repeated over and over to me like a mantra. If there are any lawyers out there who want to take on these 'good old boys', please contact me! I have hundreds of pages to prove what I state (I have done the work for you), I just need someone to represent me! Also, if anyone knows how to take on an entire corrupt court system without getting my family hurt, please respond!!! And for everyone else, PLEASE do your homework before selecting a doctor, place to live and all the other 'obvious'.

Well, I guess God got my email and answered my prayer. Man, the power of the Internet! He even emailed me back! I'll share that with you in the next few days. Proof there is a God in heaven? Never explain comedy or satire or the ironic comment. Those who get it, get it. Those who don't, never will...

John McCain said "it's time to take our Republican hats off and put our American hats on." Really? It would have been nice if Sen. McCain had put on his American hat in the three years since Katrina.
Just so no one is fooled by all his fake concern for the people on the Gulf Coast, let's look at his record post-Katrina, compliments of Chris Hayes of The Nation ( http://www. thenation. com/blogs/jstreet/352140 ):

"If (McCain) cared about New Orleans and the Gulf Coast he could have done something these past three years. He could have made Gulf Reconstruction his issue, he could have excoriated his party for pushing federal dollars into the hands of cronies, for providing inadequate resources, for allowing the further destruction of the wetlands that serve as the only natural barrier to storm surges. He could have taken on the insurance companies that have been serially screwing the residents of the gulf. But he was too busy pushing for more troops, and more war and running for president.


"Instead this is his record [via Mother Jones]:

"Though McCain issued a statement the next week (after Katrina) calling on Congress to make sacrifices in order to fund recovery efforts, he was quoted in The New Leader on September 1 [2005] cautioning against over-spending in support of Katrina's victims. "We also have to be concerned about future generations of Americans," he said. "We're going to end up with the highest deficit, probably, in the history of this country.

"That attitude was borne out in McCain's actions and votes. Forty Senators and 100 members of Congress visited New Orleans before he did; he finally got there in March 2006. He voted against establishing a Congressional commission to examine the Federal, State, and local responses to Katrina in med-September 2005. He repeated that vote in 2006. He voted against allowing up to 52 weeks of unemployment benefits to people affected by the hurricane, and in 2006 voted against appropriating $109 billion in supplemental emergency funding, including $28 billion for hurricane relief.


"So honestly, it's an insult to watch him make a show of concern now. ..."

The possibility of a storm (a storm that never hit New Orleans, and was no longer a hurricane by last night) was enough for McCain to essentially cancel most of the first day of the convention.
Cut and run? The AP reported yesterday that conventions have always been held ( http://ap. google. com/article/ALeqM5g3JSeYMqIeHqHK8IF1yI5bCmcv9wD92THRH00 ) when the nation was facing perilous moments. Right smack in the middle of World War II, the Republicans and the Democrats both held full conventions. Thousands of Americans were being killed every week. The Republicans held their convention in Chicago less than two weeks after D-Day. No one faulted them for that. In fact, it made Americans feel good that, no matter what happens, NOTHING stops Democracy. No retreat, no surrender...

So McCain and company used the hurricane for political advantage, to have an excuse to not have Bush and Cheney live and in person ( http://www. whitehouse. gov/news/releases/2005/08/images/20050829-5_p082905pm-0125-515h. html ) in St. Paul (Bush will appear Tuesday night via satellite). And he used the hurricane as a chance to release a potentially controversial story in the hopes that the hurricane would dominate the news and not many would notice. One hour after Gustav hit land, the McCain campaign announced that Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin's teenage daughter is pregnant. I don't want to say much more beyond this, as I agree with Barack Obama that "people's families are off limits, and people's children are especially off limits.
"

I do feel very sorry that this minor, this child, now has to have her privacy sacrificed because her mother accepted an offer to run for VP. Obama's right -- the children are off limits. I remember when John McCain cruelly trashed Chelsea Clinton when she was a child in the White House. He told reporters that she was "ugly" "because Janet Reno is her father." Of course, McCain would like us now to accord Palin's daughter the respect he wouldn't give Chelsea.


This does not mean that a discussion about the stupidity of "abstinence-only" sex ed classes is off the table; nor should we not talk about the right of a teenager to terminate a pregnancy (a right that has been essentially eliminated as the Supreme Court believes forcing a child to have a child against its will is not a form a child abuse), or Gov. Palin's desire to make abortion illegal for anyone who is raped, a victim of incest or who may die if they bring the fetus to term. She's "proud" of her daughter's "decision to have her baby." Uh-huh. Ok...

Word comes tonight that McCain's people lied about Palin being vetted -- the FBI has admitted they did NOT vet her. So McCain has dispatched ten operatives and investigators to Alaska to find out if there's anything else that's about to hit the fan regarding his veep pick, a woman he had run into only once in his life and then called her on her cell phone two weeks ago at the Alaska State Fair. That was it before she made the short list and was selected. McCain's radar -- honed perhaps during his own self-admitted indiscretionary phase of his life -- is telling him there's more to the Palin story. You mean things like her support of the Alaska Secessionist Party or being one of the directors of recently-arrested Sen. Ted Stevens' political action groups? Heck, I dunno. We shall see...

But before everyone gets all smug and self-righteous about the Palin selection, remember where you live. You live in a nation of gun owners and hunters.. You live in a country where one out of three girls get pregnant before they are 20. You live in a nation of C students. Knocking Bush for being a C student only endeared him to the nation of C students. Knock Palin for having kids, for having a kid who's having a baby, for anything that is part of her normalness -- a normalness that looks very familiar to so many millions of Americans -- well, you do this at your own peril. Assuming she's still on the ticket two weeks from now, she will be a much tougher opponent than anyone expects. You live in a country that voted for Dan Quayle.


I'll close with this report on ABC tonight by investigative reporter Brian Ross. It shows Republicans in St.
Paul taking off their Republican hats and putting on their American hats ( http://abcnews. go. com/Blotter/Conventions/story?id=5699123&page=1 ). In the meantime they should keep those hats ready as a new hurricane was announced today. No, not Hannah. She's already on her way to Florida for Friday. The new one is called Ike, scheduled to hit the Gulf early next week. Ike. He's the one who warned us about the "military-industrial complex.

McCain Attempting To Win Backing Of Ron Paul? Reports suggest GOP nominee worried he cannot win election without votes of Texas Congressman's supporters

Republican nominee John McCain and national party strategists are attempting to win the support of Congressman Ron Paul, fearing that without the votes of his supporters it may be difficult to win the election outright against Barack Obama.

That is the according to a report appearing in the Washington Times today, however, Ron Paul himself seemed somewhat confused by the idea stating "I don't know where they could've gotten a statement like that from."

The Times article suggests that the Republican National Committee and convention officials have been courting the Congressman in an attempt to try and gain an endorsement.

The report reads:

Sen. McCain and national party strategists worry that Mr. Paul's sympathizers will vote for Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party candidate and former Republican congressman who shares many of Mr. Paul's views.

After officials at the Republican National Committee told Paul that he would not be permitted to address the national convention, because of his refusal to alter his opposition to the Iraq war, the Congressman organized his own "Campaign For Liberty" convention.

The RNC also promised to limit Ron Paul's access to the convention floor, and monitor his movements at the hall.

According to Paul's communications director Jesse Benton, the Republican Platform Committee, under the control of McCain's people, also barred Paul from speaking in Minneapolis last week because he wanted to discuss the foreign-policy planks in the platform.

Now Congressman Paul's rally, which takes place today, has sold out and the McCain campaign is seemingly worried that it will win over many young and first time voters.

The Washington Times explains that a deal of sorts was being negotiated whereby Ron Paul has said he will speak respectfully about McCain in return for the convention granting the Congressman's entourage, including his personal security guard, political aides and Benton himself access to the floor of the Xcel Energy Center.

This is as close as McCain could possibly hope to come towards an endorsement from Ron Paul, who fiercely clashed with the Arizona Senator during the debates last year and has consistently criticized his views on foreign policy.

Jesse Benton told reporters that moves to gain anything more from the Paul camp would do the McCain campaign no good because the loyalty of Ron Paul's supporters is "not transferable".

According to further reports however, Benton has said that the party is still yet to agree to the deal which would permit Paul to be accompanied by a political aide and someone to keep watch over him.

“We thought we had an agreement over the weekend” enabling Paul to circulate with two aides on the floor among some 260 delegates in his camp. “It looks like there is a hang-up.” Benton stated.

Ron Paul appeared on CNN this morning and confirmed these details, revealing that the GOP has told him he can come to the convention floor only “under very, very restricted conditions.”

It would be no surprise if the McCain campaign were indeed attempting to win over Ron Paul and his "closet sympathizers" as the Times so derogatorily describes limited government advocates, given the impact the Congressman has had over the past eighteen months.

Paul shocked the party establishment by twice setting single-day fundraising records during his quest for the Republican presidential nomination. He also effectively ended any chance Rudy Giuliani ever had of winning the nomination by consistently polling higher and trouncing him in the debates, leading sections of the neocon bootlicking media to admit he has forever "changed the GOP forever".

It now seems that the previously ever present tactic of blackballing Paul, labeling him a fringe politician and attempting to ignore his strong base of supporters is no longer thought of as an effective way of dealing with the Congressman and his campaign for liberty.

Plaudits for the relative restraint of Denver police during last week’s Democratic National Convention are not set to be repeated at the RNC, as cops signaled their intent by arresting an AP photographer as well as Democracy Now host Amy Goodman simply for documenting protests in downtown St. Paul.

Associated Press photographer Matt Rourke was arrested on a gross misdemeanor riot charge simply for taking pictures of a protest yesterday.

“Covering news is a constitutionally protected activity, and covering a riot is part of that coverage,” AP assistant chief of bureau in Washington David Ake said. “Photographers should not be detained for covering breaking news.”

Democracy Now host Amy Goodman was arrested after she complained about the assault and arrest of her colleagues, Sharif Abdel Kouddous and Nicole Salazar.

According to Democracy Now, “All three were violently manhandled by law enforcement officers. Abdel Kouddous was slammed against a wall and the ground, leaving his arms scraped and bloodied. He sustained other injuries to his chest and back. Salazar’s violent arrest by baton-wielding officers, during which she was slammed to the ground while yelling, “I’m Press! Press!,” resulted in her nose bleeding, as well as causing facial pain. Goodman’s arm was violently yanked by police as she was arrested.”

“During the demonstration in which the Democracy Now! team was arrested, law enforcement officers used pepper spray, rubber bullets, concussion grenades and excessive force against protesters and journalists. Several dozen demonstrators were also arrested during this action, including a photographer for the Associated Press.”

All three were eventually released but face felony charges. Democracy Now has vowed to fight the false charges which they characterized as an intimidation of independent journalists.

Another AP photographer, Evan Vucci, was body slammed, kicked in the ribs and then handcuffed by police, only avoiding arrest by showing his press credentials.

“The police had pushed the protesters into a parking lot where they had police coming from all sides to encircle one area,” Vucci said. “Once they got all the protesters into this one parking lot they kind of rushed and arrested all the protesters in there,” said Vucci.

With 50,000 demonstrators expected to protest the RNC, more incidents of this kind can be expected.

On Friday, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s office, directed by federal authorities and armed with semi-automatic weapons, raided the headquarters of a protest group and detained and photographed 50 people. Six were arrested on charges of organizing a riot. None of the six have been convicted of a felony or crime of violence and all hold respectable positions within the community.

The raids were carried out after moles were planted in the group by the Minneapolis Joint Terrorist Task Force.

The raids were specifically “aided by informants planted in protest groups,” notes Salon writer Glenn Greenwald.

“Back in May, Marcy Wheeler presciently noted that the Minneapolis Joint Terrorist Task Force — an inter-agency group of federal, state and local law enforcement led by the FBI — was actively recruiting Minneapolis residents to serve as plants, to infiltrate “vegan groups” and other left-wing activist groups and report back to the Task Force about what they were doing. There seems to be little doubt that it was this domestic spying by the Federal Government that led to the excessive and truly despicable home assaults by the police yesterday,” writes Greenwald.

The Florida Bar Association is investigating prominent Orlando plaintiffs’ lawyer John Morgan for alleged illegal “patient brokering” with a chiropractor, reports the Miami Herald. Morgan’s law partner, state representative Jeff Kottkamp, is the running mate of gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist, Florida’s attorney general.

Trial lawyer J. Steele Olmstead of Tampa claims that Morgan & Morgan solicited accident victims through chiropractor Gary Kompothecras, whose television ads urge injured viewers to call 1-800-ASK-GARY. Olmstead engaged in a bit of sleuthing, calling 1-800-ASK-GARY and posing as an accident victim. He says an hour later he received a call from a paralegal at Morgan & Morgan.

Olmstead’s complaint alleges that Morgan & Morgan may be paying illegal kickbacks to the chiropractor for the referrals but says he has no direct knowledge of any such payments.

Morgan & Morgan denies wrongdoing and said his firm doesn’t ”take any more cases” from the Kompothecras. John Morgan told the Herald: “The thing with ASK-GARY is over with us. The Bar just closed the file.”

(In this area, that is news). My son decided to apply for a part-time position there through snagajob.com. Well, he was NOT able to apply because there is this little box at the bottom of the online application (we were informed we could ONLY apply online), that is checked off and will not allow you to uncheck it (ONLY if you claim to be anything than 'white'...my son claimed white AND Latino)...this box, that can not be unchecked if minority states: "You may be able to receive up to $22,000 just for signing on with the US Army. Please have a US Army Recruiter contact me with information about how I can become Army Strong. By requesting more information from the US Army or Army Reserve, you are not applying to or enlisting in the Army."

We tried deleting our info and reapplying but the cookies kept most of the info intact. I deleted my cookies and reapplied and stated 'white' under race/nationality/ethnicity ONLY, and WAS ABLE to uncheck this box!

We tried to apply via Kohl's website directly but they did not have any part-time postings for this area, whereas they did have many under snagajob.com.

We also tried to contact Kohl's directly regarding this, but again, a wild-goose chase.

I searched for a way to contact them and basically let them hear what I thought of their sneaky, little, disgusting box, but did not find a contact (only a maze of wild-goose chases).

The military/government (now one-in-the-same), is trying every sneaky possible way to enlist our children to go kill and get killed so that our 'government' can steal other countries' resources. We NEED to inform young people about this and make them aware of these dangerous, little, sneaky boxes and fine prints NOW.

I have seen college scholarship applications with little boxes like these claiming that if you do NOT enlist, you will NOT be considered for the scholarship or any other (WTF???!!!).

How disgusting can what is left of America get?!!! (This is a rhetorical question, I REALLY do NOT want to know the answer to this).

There were moguls all over the campground, overflowing with the country's most influential leaders in business, entertainment and media. I could feel myself developing a severe case of imposter syndrome. Saturday was Talent Night, and it was absolutely hysterical. Part-time Sun Valley resident Tom Hanks served as the emcee. Warren Buffet was the opening act, with a medley of Jimmy Buffet songs, all sung out of tune. Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos skillfully juggled five Kindels (wireless electronic books). Edgar Bronfman from Warner Music--dressed like the character Tevya in *Fiddler on the Roof*--sang with zest, "If I Were a Rich Man." Yahoo CEO Jerry Yang--who had turned down an offer from Microsoft to buy Yahoo earlier this year--sang a duet with the ex-CEO of Microsoft, Bill Gates, harmonizing on a song from *Annie Get Your Gun,* "Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better." Meg Whitman of eBay did a striptease, auctioning off each item of clothing, one at a time, and over 3-million dollars was raised for an unnamed charity. There had been a lot of drinking in the evening, and it was obviously too much booze that loosened up Fox mogul Rupert Murdoch's tongue. He was shouting at the moon: "Who says there are 27 million slaves around the fucking world? How would anybody know? Do they have census takers or what? Where can I get one? You tell me! I'll decide!" Also, a screaming match broke out between the co-founders of Google, Sergei Brin and Eric Schmidt, over the infamous cover of the *New Yorker,* which depicted Barack and Michelle Obama as the new President and First Lady, as a terrorist couple doing the fist-bump gesture in the Oval Office. Sergei thought it was a brilliant satirical illustration, but Eric thought it was racist and irresponsible. Last year, the surprise guest was former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. This year, it was Steven Beschloss, the editor of a new magazine which will be launched this fall and be delivered to 100,000 U.S. households with an average net worth of $25-million. There were piles of preview copies scattered about. While Beschloss was holding court in an outdoor area, annoying mosquitoes kept buzzing around the crowd. Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, yelled at him, "I gues we'll never hear *your* readers whining about a mental recession. And those of your subscribers who are in the sub-prime mortgage industry--these mosquitoes are *their* fault, because, along with all the home foreclosures they're responsible for, the stagnant water in abandoned pools turns into new breeding grounds for mosquitoes." Others drowned him out by singing the mogul version of good old-fashioned camp songs, such as "This Land Is *My* Land, This Land Is *My* Land" and "KumBuyYahoo." I couldn't help but notice that billionaire activist Carl Icahn snapped his fingers as if having an epiphany; a week later he ended up on Yahoo's board of directors. Khan Manka explained that the bigwigs at these events have so-called "informal" meetings which always take place where a pair of individuals can have their discussions alone without any interruption--on the golf course, hiking along an isolated trail, fly-fishing at Silver Creek--but Manka had been privy to only one specific example that he could share. "Back in 1995," he told me, "Disney honcho Michael Eisner met with Robert Iger, who was then the head of ABC. And exactly one month later, these two giant companies merged into one media megamonster. The adventures of the Bush administration have, it seems, driven John Cusack a little crazy, just as they drove Richard Kelly far enough around the bend to make his much-maligned epic "Southland Tales." Perhaps these men have found a workable response, if not the only one, to current events: broad satire sprinkled heavily with glitzy disgust. War, Inc., written by Cusack along with Jeremy Pikser (Bulworth) and the postmodernist novelist Mark Leyner, doesn't even pretend to buy into American warfare in the Middle East as remotely ennobling or democracy-inspiring. Tonally, this farce is all over the place, getting easy laughs from official doublespeak about new prosthetic limbs ("Just another breathtaking example of how American know-how alleviates the suffering it creates") and then choking our laughter off. The business of war is serious even when it's funny, and vice versa. War, Inc. could almost be a default sequel to Grosse Pointe Blank, 1997's witty, jet-black comedy about hit-man Martin Blank and his struggle to regain his humanity at his ten-year class reunion. Here, Cusack is Brand Hauser, a government assassin tasked to whack an oil baron who wants to run a pipeline through (fictional) Turaqistan and drink some of America's milkshake. Brand is given a cover story: he'll be organizing the arrival and media opportunities of rising Turaqi pop star Yonica Babyyeah (Hilary Duff, sullying her squeaky-clean persona impressively). Plaguing Brand's existence are this movie's Minnie Driver, leftist reporter Natalie Hegalhuzen (Marisa Tomei), who wants the full story on what Brand is doing in Turaqistan, and this movie's Joan Cusack, hard-bitten assistant Marsha Dillon (played by ... Joan Cusack), who wants Brand to ice the target already so they can all go home. Add in an appearance by Dan Aykroyd as the amiably venal vice-president and a Joe Strummer-esque score by David Robbins (brother of Cusack's buddy Tim) and you really do have Martin Blank Goes to War, but as a die-hard fan of GPB, I didn't care. Cusack's morose intelligence holds everything together, and he has an agreeably combative rapport with Tomei and a gentler one with Duff, whose Yonica symbolizes how we're trying to "democratize" the Middle East by Britneyizing and corporatizing it. The movie takes some cues from satires old (Dr. Strangelove) and more recent (Wag the Dog, especially in its barbs at the press for being so easily gulled by the government's magic show), but its tempo and emphasis are all its own. Joshua Seftel, a documentarian making his narrative feature debut, channels Kubrick as well as Terry Gilliam in his cool fish-eyed-lens assessment of Turaqistan's chaotic chessboard. By the time we see a tank with a goldenpalace.com banner on its tail, it's no longer clear where monetary fantasia ends and war-torn reality begins. War, Inc. is looser than GPB, and makes time for several extended scenes of various characters just sitting around getting to know each other, a welcome respite from what always threatens to become a cartoon. In a dazzlingly brutal dust-up between Brand and some local thugs, Cusack shows he hasn't lost any of his kickboxing flair, nor his way of looking soulfully stricken when caught in the bloody act by a loved one. In these movies, Cusack is America, abashed by his talent for and background in violence, and eager to escape it — here, Brand constantly chugs hot sauce to burn himself out of awareness (he says he's trained his tear ducts not to flow when he downs the stuff). People are always consuming in the movie — Yonica has her Popeye's Chicken (a front for Brand's shadowy liaison), a soldier chomps on freeze-dried coffee to amp himself up for crowd control. Critics will probably rush to smear "War, Inc." as a rehash or irrelevant or even un-American, but it's a good deal smarter and more satisfying than that — a punk-rock Strangelove riff on a mission very much unaccomplished.
